Tupperware
Tupperware was developed in 1946 by Earl Silas Tupper, and the company's national sales headquarters are located in Kissimmee, Florida. The sales division was led by Brownie Wise, the woman who perfected the home sales party method. The 'Tupperware Party" was a popular sales technique in which mostly middle-class women would invite other women to their home to sell the products in a social setting. Tupperware had many styles and color schemes over the years. Avocado green, burnt orange, and mustard yellow, like the bowls pictured here, were popular earth-tone colors of the 1970s. The harvest gold container was designed to store and transport deviled eggs.
