Education
Training offered by the Florida Bureau of Archaeological Research (BAR) is dynamic, changing to meet the needs of the Florida's government employees. BAR has provided the Archaeological Resource Management (ARM) training course for state land managers since 1994. As a result, BAR has trained more than 800 resource managers in the Florida Park Service, Division of Forestry, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, and other public and private resource managing organizations. BAR also offers a training program for law enforcement personnel to assist in dealing with archaeological resource crimes. If you have a special need for a training class or would be willing to host one of our courses, please contact the training coordinator, Paulette McFadden at paulette.mcfadden@dos.myflorida.com.
