MEDIA ADVISORY: Florida Secretary of State Laurel M. Lee Media Availability Tomorrow
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –
Florida Secretary of State Laurel M. Lee will be available to the media to discuss Florida’s 2020 General Election tomorrow morning in the Department’s Museum of Florida History Theater. Press will need to be prepared to show their press credentials at the first floor entrance and arrive early for a wellness screening.
Florida’s preliminary election results will be available on election night on the Florida Election Watch website, floridaelectionwatch.gov. Please be aware that while Florida polls close at 7 p.m., Florida has two time zones. Voting will not be completed statewide until 7 p.m. CT/8 p.m. ET, at which time, election results will be released at the state level. Visitors to the site will be able to track results by county and compare state and county contest results.
Results for the Presidential Election will not be official until the Elections Canvassing Commission certifies them on November 17, 2020.
Credentialed media will be permitted entrance in the R.A. Gray Building, however social distancing and safety protocols will be enforced.
