Creating a Teen Library Podcast: SSLLI project slide

The Teen Podcast project consists of a group of local teens assembled to conceptualize, storyboard, script, edit and produce a podcast episode as part of an ongoing series.

Topics for this podcast are primarily library and community-related, connecting the wider audience to the value and relevance of public libraries for teens.

This project will benefit from partnerships with local middle and high schools to generate content for and promote the podcast within their school communities.

The primary objective is to increase active teen engagement with the library’s services and programs and position the library as a valuable and relevant resource for teens. The secondary objective is to develop leadership qualities in the participants.

The anticipated outcomes will be a completed, published podcast episode and a cohesive team of teens that can deliver quality podcast content for a local, national and potentially worldwide audience.
