What's New on the FEL?
New eBooks – Information for K-12 Public Schools
Elementary titles
The Florida Electronic Library has added 65 new elementary titles to the eBook collection.
These are accessible through the FLeLibrary.com portal and through the Gale eBooks and Gale in Context: Elementary resources.
These titles should already be installed in Gale eBooks, Gale in Context: Elementary and on your Gale Pages, if applicable. If you have trouble accessing the new elementary titles, please let me know.
Mental health; diversity, Equity and inclusion
The FEL has added a package of 41 Mental Health titles and a package of 16 Diversity, Equity and Inclusion titles that range in reading levels from middle school to academic titles.
All K-12 public schools are entitled to these eBooks, but due to the age range and topics, we have created an opt-in form to allow each school district to choose to use them. Districts may choose to install either one or both of the packages, and at the middle school, high school or both levels, using the opt-in form.
Using the opt-in form
Find the opt-in form at support.gale.com/fel/ebook-optin along with downloadable lists of the Mental Health and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion packages.
The install is on the district level, not at the individual school level. Once the district has completed and submitted the form, Gale will complete the installation to the district’s account.
Help with curation
Your Gale representative will be happy to work with you on curating the new eBook titles.
We also held a Create Custom Collections in Gale eBooks webinar on October 13, 2021. Access the archived video at support.gale.com/fel/webinars.
