Description
Guitars Over Guns is seeking a full-time development specialist to support the overall operation of the development department. This is a great opportunity for an entry or mid-level career person to join a dynamic and dedicated team united around a compelling mission to empower youth through music and mentorship. The right candidate will be stepping into a healthy, growing organization with ambitious plans for expansion. Position is full time: 40 hours per week, remote with some weekly time required in our Miami office. Salary range is $35,000-$42,000 commensurate with experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* Enter and/or update gifts, pledges and grants
* Create fundraising pages
* Run weekly donation reports
* Maintain up-to-date donor contact information
* Enter weekly offline deposits
* Create and track donor acknowledgement letters
* Manage monthly giving program
* Manage donor requests and questions
* Monitor third-party donation platforms
* Support organizing in-person and virtual events
* Support donor prospect research
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
* Coordinate and support development meetings
* Manage volunteer projects
* Respond to emails and phone calls
* Process tax receipts and refunds
* Conduct mailings of letters, paperwork and merchandise
* Maintain inventory of development department supplies
* Other duties as assigned
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
* Report to Special Assistant to the President/CEO
* Coaching provided by VP of GKollaborative
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* 1-3 years of working experience
* Experience or skills managing projects and events
* Excellent writing skills
* Technologically savvy: knowledge using the full range of contemporary remote office software (Microsoft, Google, Zoom, etc.)
* Flexible and a self-starter; able to multitask while also being highly detail-oriented
* Personal qualities of integrity, credibility and a commitment to Guitars Over Guns’ mission
* Must be a U.S. citizen or have a valid U.S. work visa
NOT REQUIRED, BUT A PLUS:
* Experience with Salesforce and/or other CRM software
* Experience in fundraising, executive assistantship, or similar
* Experience with copywriting
* Experience with basic design work in Canva
* Familiarity with Asana project management system
* Event planning experience
