JOB DESCRIPTION

The Arts Education Manager performs advanced-level professional work to ensure alignment with COCA’s public art programs, community engagement and overall mission and goals. This full-time position includes overseeing the Arts in Education program; serving as liaison to educators for all arts education programs and initiatives; assisting with marketing & communication for all arts education initiatives; creating and maintaining COCA arts education resources; writing articles, blogs and posts about arts education in the Capital City region; assisting with grant writing and administration of education grants; representing COCA on advisory boards and committees for arts and education. Special focus of this position includes expanding program access, expanding technology use, and procuring education resources. The position involves a blend of in-person and virtual classroom and community site visits with work-from-home and in-person office hours.

An ideal candidate for this position will be educationally certified, artistically trained, detail-oriented, service-focused, tech-savvy, community-minded, and enjoy working in a creative, unique, and collaborative environment.
