Call to Artists

Details

Deadline May 4, 2022
Sponsor Northwest Regional Library
Location Coral Springs , FL

Description

The path to a truer, more authentic self is fraught with highs and lows. What does that journey look like? Bona fide is an open call for LGBTQIA+ artists to share artwork which explores that ongoing journey. The exhibition will be on display from June 1st to July 27th, 2022.

The deadline for submissions is May 1st, 2022. Selected artists will be notified by May 11th, 2022.
Northwest Regional Exhibit Space (in Coral Springs) offers South Florida artists an opportunity to exhibit their work in a prominent, high-traffic area in the library.

All art forms and mediums will be considered, as long as the subject matter is in line with the themes of the exhibit, and appropriate for all public library visitors. Due to the layout of the exhibit space, artwork that projects more than 6″ from the wall, and 3D work larger than 30”H x 17.5”W will not be considered. Selected artists must commit to displaying their work for the full length of the exhibit (June 1st to July 27th).

Artist Eligibility
All South Florida based artists eighteen years of age or older, living and working in Broward, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach counties are encouraged to apply.
